Fraud Activities with Coronavirus Aide, Relief & Economic Security Act

Please be aware that fraudulent behavior has been spotted in connection to the Coronavirus Aide Act.  “Across the banking industry, we are starting to see cases of fraud in response to the stimulus package. Consumers are receiving calls from people claiming to be “from the government” and requesting personal information (social security number, account number, etc.) in order to process their tax rebate. The calling fraudster can then use this information to try to access the consumer’s finances."

Remember, if you receive a phone call requesting personal information, keep in mind the government (or any other legitimate organization such as a bank) will never call requesting personal information.

Please be careful and wise about your personal and financial information!

Perry and Associates, PC COVID-19 Response

Perry and Associates, PC is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our clients and staff and has made the tough decision to close our offices to the public as of March 20, 2020.

While our office is temporarily closed to the public, we have a mail slot in the bottom of the front door that you may drop paperwork through. All processed tax returns will be e-mailed or mailed to our clients.

While the IRS has extended both the filing deadline and the payment deadline from April 15th to July 15th, we will still be working diligently to prepare your tax return prior to April 15th.

Our staff is still working so if you have any questions regarding the preparation of your tax return or any other questions, please feel free to call or email us. Our contact information is on the “Contact Us” page of this website.

Please visit the Info Center Tab for more links to resources related to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the CARES Act.
